Yr 12 Navigation Exercise 24th October 2012

Yr 12 Public Services students will be taking part in a 12Km navigation exercise (NAVEX) on Wednesday 24th October, in the Dartford Heath area of Kent. The NAVEX is part of Unit 35 (Land Navigation by Map & Compass) and successful participation will qualify students for P5 (Undertake a planned route using map and compass with route card). Consent forms are available on the G Drive.

Year 13 NAVEX Fri 05 Oct 12

Year 13 Public Service students will be involved in a navigation exercise on Friday 05 Oct 12, in support of Unit 35 (Land Navigation by Map & Compass). Students will be out all day. Consent forms are located on the G Drive.

Yr 12 Visit to the Imperial War Museum

Yr 12 Level 3 Public Service students will be visiting the Imperial War Museum on Wednesday 10th October, to support Unit 2.

Letters for the visit can be found in the Unit 2 folder on the G Drive. Consent forms should be returned before the date of the visit.

Mr Wilson will be out of college for the period Mon 17th Sep to Friday 21st Sep 12. 12A and 13A will need to continue with assessment work and research, as indicated below:

The class are all working on Unit 2 Leadership and Teamwork.

Task: Read the Assignment Brief in the Unit 2 file in the Public Services folder on the G Drive.

Complete P1 and P1 of Task 1 and begin research for M1 and D1. Level 3 Text books are available from Mr Atmore’s cupboard (speak to him).

The class are working on Unit 35 Land Navigation

Task: Refer to the Assignment Brief and make sure that P1 and P2 of Task 1 are fully completed and printed out ready for assessment. Check content carefully against the expected range.
