Year 10 Public Service Campcraft skills

Year 10 Public Service students are reminded that they will be off site during the afternoon on Friday 1st July at Avery Hill.
Mr Wilson and Mr Toomey will be running a series of practical camp craft exercises.OWN CLOTHES ARE ALLOWED for the afternoon, but school uniform MUST be worn in the morning whilst on the college site. Change into your own clothes at lunchtime.

Letters for the NAVEX on 14 Jul 11 will also be distributed on that day.

Uniform to Work Day on Wednesday 22nd June 2011

Uniform to Work Day this year will take place on Wednesday 22nd June 2011 as the lead up to Armed Forces Day. Reservists from all 3 armed services are encouraged to go to work in their military uniform. Cadets from the Army Cadet Force, Air Training Corps and Sea Cadet Corps who wish to attend college in uniform should approach their respective Head of School in advance for approval.

Presentations from the London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police

The London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police will be in College on Thursday 23rd June, working with Year 10 and Year 12 Public Services. Please arrive promptly at the start of lessons to ensure a smooth start.

Year 10 Public Services Navigation Exercise (NAVEX)

A day long NAVEX will take place on Thursday 14th July to the Dartford Heath/Wilmington/Joyden Woods area. The NAVEX involves a 10Km route between checkpoints in direct support of Unit 10. There will be no charge for the event and letters will be available next week.

The Great Get Together Festival / Armed Forces Day 2011

If you are free on Saturday 25th June why not go to the Royal Artillery Barracks in Repository Road in Woolwich where The Great Get Together and Armed Forces Day 2011 will be taking place.

What's there to see/do? Military displays, horses and riders from the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, cadet displays, the Tigers Parachute Display Team, live music, military vehicles and much more!

Time? The event will be open between 1100 and 1800.

Cost? It's free to get in!

Level 3 Expedition

It is planned to take 12A and 12P on a two day expedition to the Hoo Peninsula in Kent in July. Please comment on your willingness and availability to take part. It should be an enjoyable experience to end a successful year of hard work. POSTPONED TO OCTOBER 2011
